School across the ocean

The Schools Across the Ocean project is an innovative educational initiative designed to engage young students in Azerbaijan, UK and UAE in climate and ocean literacy through creative workshops. The project aligns with the broader TROIKA focus for COP Climate Change Conferences, linking COP28 in UAE, COP29 in Azerbaijan, and COP30 in Brazil, promoting positive climate action and solutions. a partnership between British Council, Exeter University (UK) and Khazar University (Azerbaijan), that includes a Creative workshop that have focused on ocean literacy, creative writing, cartooning, and communication, with impactful cartoons display. The project also includes the twinning of 20 schools across the UK, UAE and Azerbaijan in early 2025 to extend reach and impact. The session will include Showcasing a short film with intro from COP29 Presidency Youth Climate Champion and physical display of the schools across/We are the Ocean content followed by a discussion.
